If you are interested in committing to learning the entire pottery process or continuing your education post begginers class, consider booking one of our multi-week courses. Q&A Q: How does this class differ from our date/family wheel classes? A: Technical wheel classes/multi-week courses are taught by Tracey DeLellis who's educational foundation includes B.F.A Arcadia U Teaching Cert & Cleveland State University M.F.A. She has years of experience throwing on the wheel and has a wealth of technical skill and knowledge on the wheel. Taking a class with her will provide you with so much important information that will allow you a fantastic foundation for learning to throw on the wheel. Meanwhile, our family/date classes are more casual and skip over the technical skills to allow for a fun experience and making memories. Q:What should I wear? A: You will be throwing with a speckled stoneware, it tends to not stain and washes out easy, but you will get messy! Wear something comfortable that will allow you to spread your legs around the wheel. We have aprons you can borrow in studio. Q: Can I throw on the wheel with long nails? A: Technically, yes. It will be more difficult and you will need to try some different techniques, like wrapping a sponge around your nails, but it is possible. Q: Do I need to bring anything? A: No! Everything needed to throw on the wheel is provided in the class, you absolutely may bring a water bottle for yourself.
